The Federal Election Commission also released the list of the voters for all constituencies on Wednesday. The Daikoku Federation's decision to cut diplomatic contacts comes after the ultimatum expired Wednesday noon without Kaleido's compliance.
Migs Caldeo, Co-President of the Daikoku Federation, sent a message addressed to Kaleidonian president Luis Palay informing his government of the Daikoku Federation's decision to cut diplomatic contacts and to launch diplomatic actions against Kaleido. "[T]he Daikoku Federation withdraws all diplomatic activities and communications with the State of Kaleido. It shall also, using all possible legal and peaceful means necessary, to delegitimize Kaleido as a micronation through isolation from the micronational community," the message said. The message also included the current stance of the Daikoku Federation on the issue of claiming a Daikoku citizen as a citizen of Kaleido through the Stykria Frieden Special Administrative Region, saying: "[T]he Daikoku Federation shall treat the issue [...] as non-negotiable, as we respect the right of the concerned citizen to choose the citizenship that he desires." Since the expiration of the ultimatum at Wednesday noon, the Daikoku Federation has withdrawn from all contacts with Kaleido, which were primarily done through Facebook chats and groups. The Daikoku Federation and Kaleido have been in the state of tension with each other for the past few days due to the latter's decision to establish the Stykria Frieden Special Administrative Region, which was heavily criticized due to its claim to jurisdiction over a Daikoku citizen residing in the United States and the Austenasian dependency of Terentia. Representatives of the Daikoku Federation and Mercia signed the treaty Saturday which established diplomatic relations and mutual cooperation between the two micronations. Co-President Migs Caldeo of the Daikoku Federation and Lord Spiritual Richard I of Mercia signed the treaty as representatives of the respective governments.
The treaty called for diplomatic relations, mutual cooperation and exchanges between the Daikoku Federation and Mercia. Mercia, also known as the Kingdoms and Lands Represented in the Council of the Diarchal Crowns of the Disciples in its official form, is a micronation located in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. It has maintained diplomatic relations with the Daikoku Federation since 23 July 2014. Applications for certificates of candidacy for the 24 October elections opened Friday. The Federal Election Commission issued a decision on 10 October which approved the Daikoku Social People's Party as a political party in the Daikoku Federation and approved the candidacy of the following for the Federal Assembly election in Urbonia under the DSPP party list:
The next day, the Federal Election Commission approved the candidacy of Co-President Migs Caldeo running under the DSPP for the presidential elections in Urbonia. The DSPP is expected to nominate candidates for Treisia and Misaka. Applications for certificates of candidacy shall continue until 16 October. The Federal Government of the Daikoku Federation sent an ultimatum to the State of Kaleido on Saturday demanding the withdrawal of the jurisdiction of the Stykria Frieden Special Administrative Region on certain areas by 15 October.
The ultimatum was sent by Co-President Migs Caldeo, in behalf of the Federal Government, to the Kaleidonian President Luis Palay and it contained the following provisions:
The Federal Government assured the Kaleidonian government that negotiations would restart between the Daikoku Federation and Kaleido if the demands are met, while it threatened that it would isolate Kaleido diplomatically if the demands are not met. Meanwhile, the ultimatum was met with a negative reply in Kaleido. In a statement from Chief Executive Mart Siapno of Stykria Frieden, written in Filipino, he said: "This morning, I was shocked with the post of Migs Caldeo and I thought that this would be the end of my life, so I hurriedly thought of what the ultimatum meant. The ultimatum of Migs Caldeo of the "Daikoku Federation" is only a laughable threat against [Kaleido]." "I was disappointed since I was not impressed with Caldeo's threats," he added. The Daikoku Federation and Kaleido have been at tension with each other following the latter's decision to establish the Stykria Frieden Special Autonomous Region last September. Kaleido violated the sovereignty of the Daikoku Federation with this decision when it claimed that a citizen of the Daikoku Federation residing in Stafford Springs in the US state of Connecticut is a citizen of the autonomous region. |
