Nakatani, DAIKOKU (23 November 2015) - The Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku became an independent and sovereign state on Sunday night as the National Council voted for secession from the Rajahnate of Namayan.
According to a statement released on Monday by Migs Caldeo, President of the National Council, the secession vote was the result of "sentiments for an independent and sovereign Daikoku state" within the National Council following questions on the "status of the [Daikoku] as an autonomous republic of [Namayan]" as complaints were made on the lack of positive changes that Namayan has done for Daikoku. The reported anti-government movements within the Rajahnate of Namayan and the resulting instability within its government also aggrevated the National Council's push for a secession vote. The Act on Declaring the Independence of the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku was passed unanimously by the National Council at 22:00 on Sunday. Aside from declaring Daikoku as an independent and sovereign state, the Act also revoked all existing agreements with the Rajahnate of Namayan. Following the vote, Migs Caldeo, in a statement, appealed to the Daikoku people to turn out and to make use of their strength in order to create a strong and prosperous Daikoku nation. He also appealed to the Rajahnate of Namayan and to other foreign states for recognition of the Daikoku state and for diplomatic relations on the basis of friendship and cooperation. President Caldeo concluded his statement saying that he wish the Daikoku people the best in this new chapter of Daikoku's history and hoped that the nation would achieve victories in creating a strong and prosperous Daikoku state. PRESIDENT OF THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF DAIKOKU Statement on the declaration of independence of the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku Yesterday, at 22:00, the National Council, reflecting the will of the Daikoku people, voted for the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku to secede from the Rajahnate of Namayan and become an independent and sovereign state. The secession vote came as sentiments for an independent and sovereign Daikoku state have been voiced by members of the National Council who have deliberated on the status of the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku as an autonomous republic of the Rajahnate of Namayan. The same members have concluded that the Namayan government has not contributed positively to the growth and development of the Daikoku state and have questioned on why Daikoku should continue being an autonomous republic of Namayan. The recent anti-government movements and disagreements within the government in Namayan have further aggravated the National Council to agree to a secession vote. With the independence and sovereignty of our Daikoku state restored under the rule of our Democratic People's Republic, we, the National Council, appeal to the Daikoku people to turn out and to make use of their strength in order to create a strong and prosperous Daikoku nation. To the Rajahnate of Namayan and to other foreign states, the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku would like to request the recognition of our independent and sovereign state and to open diplomatic relations on the basis of friendship and cooperation. In this time, where a new chapter in the history of the Daikoku state is being shaped, I, on behalf of the National Council, wish the Daikoku people the best and I hope that, as we become the ones taking control of the affairs of our state, we would achieve great victories in building and developing the Daikoku state. Nakatani, DAIKOKU (22 November 2015) - Migs Caldeo, President of the National Council of the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku, issued a statement on the declaration of independence of the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku.
ACT OF THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF DAIKOKU
ON DECLARING THE INDEPENDENCE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF DAIKOKU The National Council of the Democratic People’s Republic of Daikoku recognizes: That the instability brought by anti-government movements in the Rajahnate of Namayan that begun on 16 November 2015 and disagreements within its government has brought concern to the welfare of the Democratic People’s Republic of Daikoku, That the integration of the Democratic People’s Republic of Daikoku into the Rajahnate of Namayan has not resulted to development and progress to the Daikoku nation and people, and That the Daikoku people have renewed their aspiration for an independent and sovereign Daikoku nation. With these present realities in mind, the National Council of the Democratic People’s Republic of Daikoku declares: That the Democratic People’s Republic of Daikoku has seceded from the Rajahnate of Namayan, That the provisions of the Treaty Between the Governments of the Republic of Daikoku and the Rajahnate of Namayan on the Admission of the Republic of Daikoku as an Autonomous Republic of the Rajahnate of Namayan signed between the Daikoku nation and the Rajahnate of Namayan on 1 February 2015, the laws of the Rajahnate of Namayan, the agreements between the Democratic People’s Republic of Daikoku and the Rajahnate of Namayan, and the obligations of the Democratic People’s Republic of Daikoku to the Rajahnate of Namayan shall no longer be effect on the territory of the Democratic People’s Republic of Daikoku, and That the Democratic People’s Republic of Daikoku shall become an independent and sovereign state. This Act shall go into effect immediately. NATIONAL COUNCIL OF THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF DAIKOKU MIGS CALDEO, President of the National Council
DAVE ARAQUEL, DANIELLE LINTAG, KYLE NATHAN NEPOMUCENO, Members of the National Council UPDATED - 18 November 2015, 21:34
The Namayan News Agency released a report on Monday, 16 November 2015, titled "Lequia City in Heightened Alert". The said report supposedly detailed the current situation in Lequia City in the Rajahnate of Namayan following a declaration of a red alert status due to tensions brought by an anti-government protest. However, the Daikoku National Information Agency found the report dubious, irresponsible and questionable as some of the details were completely baseless. The report included an alleged photo of military personnel from the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku during the on-going tensions in Lequia City with the caption: "[Daikoku] allies patrolling a mall in their autonomous region, which is adjacent to Lequia City." The DNIA would like to point out that the photo was taken by Arvee Santos Andaya, a Filipino citizen without any connection to Daikoku, on 21 June 2015 during the 14th TOYCON PH, which was held in the city of Seidaikei and was attended by Migs Caldeo who was wearing a military uniform and was present in the photo. The DNIA would also like to point out that President Caldeo was wearing a military uniform as part of a cosplay as a North Korean soldier, and that the other people included in the photo were part of a group cosplaying as Russian soldiers and that they were also Filipino citizens without any connection to Daikoku. The government of the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku would like to point out, in relation to the photo, that Daikoku has not maintained a military force during the time the picture was taken and it also does not maintain a military force as of the writing of this statement. Also, in relation to the copyright violations the Namayan News Agency has committed in relation to the unauthorized use and alteration of the photo, the government of the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku has been in contact with Arvee Santos Andaya. The Namayan News Agency also reported that the current issue regarding transportation in the area has been linked to alleged anti-government militias. The DNIA would like to point out that the government of the Rajahnate of Namayan, through advisories issued by relevant authorities in the Republic of the Philippines, already knew even before the start of the tensions in Lequia City that there would be inconveniences in transportation in the area as the Republic of the Philippines is hosting the summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation in the city of Manila, which was not stated directly in the report. The DNIA would like to request the Namayan News Agency to make the necessary actions to this issue and to refrain from releasing reports similar to this one in the future. Nakatani, DAIKOKU (18 November 2015) UPDATE: The Namayan News Agency has removed the photo that allegedly shows Daikoku military personnel. Monjer Camama, Prime Minister of the Rajahnate of Namayan, issued an apology on the "reckless and unauthorized use of copyrighted material." Lequia, NAMAYAN (18 November 2015) - The Namayan News Agency reported on Wednesday that Zyper Zillamore, prefect of Lequia, has resigned amidst the tensions in Lequia prefecture due to anti-government protest.
"I wish to resign from my duties as Prefect of Lequia. Internal issues regarding Mr. Laranang's protest seem to be solvable and a resolution is underway," Zillamore said in a statement. The report stated that Darwin Eugenio has been appointed as acting prefect of Lequia. Lequia, NAMAYAN (18 November) - The Namayan News Agency reported on Monday that Lequia City is under high alert following the anti-government protest and threats by former Namayan government official Timothy Laranang.
According to the said report, Zyper Zillamore, prefect of Lequia, warned citizens for any suspicious persons within Lequia City. It was also reported that paramilitary forces loyal to the Namayan government were deployed. "[Daikoku] allies" were also reportedly mobilized as part of the tensions in Lequia prefecture, the report stated. The Namayan News Agency also reported that alleged militias loyal to Timothy Laranang have been deployed in Lequia City to cut off major transportation routes, to which Laranang denied saying that it was linked to "non-Namayan events." Lequia, NAMAYAN (15 November 2015) - The official Namayan News Agency reported on Sunday that an anti-government protest has started in the Namayan prefecture of Lequia.
The protest started on Sunday afternoon following a statement released by Timothy John Laranang, a former Namayan government official who has served as Rajah, Prime Minister and Lequia prefect. In his statement, Laranang said that he "can no longer cope with the lack of activity" in Namayan, and criticized the lack of vision of the government which has resulted to the inactivity within the government. He also declared that a blockade has been set up in San Pedro, Lequia prefecture, which is an enclave of Namayan within the Philippine province of Laguna, and that he might bring the protest to the prefecture's capital at Lequia City. He also demanded that the Namayan government grant him the right to set up an autonomous republic. The Namayan News Agency also reported that the Namayan government initially downplayed the anti-government protest but later made arrangements for a strong response to the tensions in Lequia prefecture. Zyper Zillamore Asuncion, the current Lequia prefect, announced that a red alert has been raised throughout the prefecture. Darwin Eugenio, a Namayan senator and the administrator of Lequia City, said that pro-government forces have been mobilized in case of anti-government movements in the city. The Namayan News Agency also reported that the Namayan government is now convening in Illigan prefecture to discuss the tensions in Lequia prefecture.
