Daikoku and Namayan governments sign treaty on dissolution and Namayan annexation of Daikoku6/28/2016 Nakatani, DAIKOKU (27 June 2016) - The governments of the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku and the Rajahnate of Namayan agreed to sign a treaty on the evening of 26 June which dissolves the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku and cedes certain Daikoku territories into the jurisdiction of the Rajahnate of Namayan.
Migs Caldeo, President of the National Council of the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku, signed the treaty as plenipotentiary of the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku, while Darvinos I, Rajah of Namayan and Acting Prime Minister of the Rajahnate of Namayan, signed the treaty as plenipotentiary of the Rajahnate of Namayan. In the treaty, the Daikoku and Namayan governments agreed that the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku would cease to exist as a independent and sovereign state and that the cities of Kitakyo, Nakatani and Seidaikei are to be annexed by the Rajahnate of Namayan. The treaty stated that the annexed Daikoku territories would form the new Namayan prefecture of Daikoku with Migs Caldeo as prefect. The treaty also stated that former Daikoku citizens shall be given the option to whether or not acquire the citizenship of the Rajahnate of Namayan. The said treaty will go into effect at noon today. The treaty between the Daikoku and Namayan government comes as the National Council of the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku has been inactive for months. The treaty also marks the second time in which Daikoku has become part of Namayan, the first being in February 2015 when the then-Republic of Daikoku joined Namayan as an autonomous republic. However, by November 2015, Daikoku had unilaterally declared its independence following instability within Namayan.
