DECREE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE SUPREME COUNCIL OF THE REPUBLIC OF DAIKOKU No. 14 of 5 January 2015 ON DECLARING A STATE OF EMERGENCY IN THE REPUBLIC OF DAIKOKU AND INTRODUCING EMERGENCY POWERS TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE SUPREME COUNCIL OF THE REPUBLIC OF DAIKOKU I, MIGS CALDEO, President of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku, decided on the following on 5 January 2015 for the purpose of declaring a state of emergency in the Republic of Daikoku and introducing emergency powers to the Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku in response to the current situation prevailing in the Republic of Daikoku. ARTICLE 1 The Republic of Daikoku shall be under a state of emergency. ARTICLE 2 The state of emergency in the Republic of Daikoku shall remain in effect until lifted by the President of the Republic of Daikoku through a decree. ARTICLE 3 The President of the Supreme Council shall exercise the powers stated in Chapters V of the Constitution during the duration of the state of emergency. ARTICLE 4 Chapter VI of the Constitution shall be suspended. ARTICLE 5 The President of the Supreme Council shall issue orders that would have the power of a law and may cover all aspects of national life. ARTICLE 6 The Supreme Council shall continue its tenure as a consultative body to the President of the Supreme Council and as a judicial body. ARTICLE 7 This decree shall come into effect on the day of its publication. MIGS CALDEO
