CENTRAL DISTRICT, Seidaikei (DFNS) -President Luis Palay of the Republic of Kaleido approved a new constitution for the country last January 31, the Kaleido News and Information Service reported.
The new constitution of the Republic of Kaleido, the 11th since January 2013, has introduced changes to the Kaleido government, including the renaming of the country to the "Independent State of Kaleido", changing the office of the President to the Governor General and limiting the office's powers. There has been reports of protests in Kaleido over the government change. President Palay announced that a referendum for the approval of the new constitution would be held on February 8, in response to the protests.
