CENTRAL DISTRICT, Seidaikei (DFNS) - President Luis Palay of the Republic of Kaleido has issued a statement "[discussing] some issues confronting the Republic of Kaleido," according to the Kaleido News and Information Services.
In his statement, President Palay stated his reaction to the bilateral meeting held between the State of Ariana and the Republic of Kaleido and to the state of emergency raised in the Daikoku Federation in reaction to Kaleido's provocative actions. In relation to the bilateral meeting between Ariana and the Republic of Kaleido, President Palay said that he had welcomed the results of the meeting, but he did not agree with most of the proposals made. He had call the meeting as a "[mark of] the maturity of diplomacy between the micronations in the Philippine sector." He also urged Ariana and Daikoku "to join us in establishing a peace and stability framework for micronations in the Philippine sector." He also gave his response to the state of emergency raised in the Daikoku Federation. President Palay went on to explain the provocative action made by the Republic of Kaleido on January 7, saying that his government was not responsible and placed the blame on a certain citizen named Mr. Kit Siapno, who they said was just expressing his "nationalistic sentiments." He went on to praise the Kaleidonian people "who loves their country so much" and added that "we do not care if Daikoku felt scared by the banner created by Mr. Siapno." He also stated that when the matter was raised on a meeting by the Kaleido government, it resulted into a burst of laughter by President Palay and his ministers, and went on to say that the state of emergency by the Daikoku Federation "is very exaggerated." "A simple banner threatened the security of your nation. By your act, I can say that all Kaleidonians are brilliant because they can scare a nation with just words," boasted President Palay. He also said that if the Daikoku Federation demands a public apology from the Kaleidonian government, it would not respond to it since it is not responsible for the provocative action, and added that they should demand it to those responsible. President Palay threatened the Daikoku Federation by saying "expect more of what they say "provocative acts" from us" if the Federation decides to maltreat Kaleidonian citizens. In the end of his speech, he stated that the One Philippine Micronation Policy is not going to be scrapped as this will teach Ariana and Daikoku what they call "pakikisama" or fellowship, and urged that Ariana and Daikoku should prioritize diplomacy in the Philippine region. He also urged that Ariana and Daikoku to meet with Kaleido in the Philippine Intermicronational meeting, despite President Palay having stated that he would not be attending the meeting since he was not invited personally. As news of the statement of President Palay reached the Daikoku Federation, there has been negative reactions within the Federal Government and the citizens of the Federation. The Presidency issued a short statement saying: "The statement by Kaleidonian President Luis Palay was nothing more than a show. His statement did nothing to clear up the issue between the Daikoku Federation and Kaleido and had further complicated the diplomatic standoff between both nations. The contents of the statement had only generated more hatred than understanding as Kaleido continues to provoke the sovereignty of the Daikoku Federation." The Presidency is expected to issue issue an address within this week in regards to the statement made by President Palay.
