According to the declaration, President Caldeo has dissolved the Republic of Daikoku since "[w]e can no longer maintain the current system of government enforced in [o]ur [s]tate." President Caldeo decided to replace the Republic with an absolute monarchy under its official name - the Principality of Daikoku with himself as the Prince. The declaration also stated that the autonomous status of Daikoku within the Rajahnate of Namayan shall continue, that the territories of the principality shall consist of Nakatani, Kitakyo, Kawashiro and Seidaikei which are organized into three communes, and that the new government would be based in the commune of Nakatani. The declaration, which was issued as a royal rescript of the Prince of Daikoku, was first sent to the Namayan government and was dated for its enforcement on 7 May. The Namayan government has yet to issue an official response to the declaration but has recognized the document. President Caldeo introduces bills on national seal, sanctions against Kaleido in Namayan legislature2/9/2015 Migs Caldeo, President of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku and representative of the Republic of Daikoku to the Royal Assembly of Senators of the Rajahnate of Namayan, introduced two bills on Sunday and Monday.
The first bill, filed last Sunday, was on proposing a new national seal for the Rajahnate of Namayan which would consist a crowned golden double-headed eagle holding a scepter and an orb with a shield containing a golden stylized sun in a red background. The proposal for the national seal used the Byzantine double-headed eagle found on the Namayan flag and the stylized sun found on the Namayan seal. The second bill, filed Monday, was on the Rajahnate of Namayan authorizing diplomatic and economic sanctions against the Independent State of Kaleido. It contained provisions on cutting communications between Namayan and Kaleido, placing restrictions on access of Namayan and Kaleido social media forums and prohibiting business activities between Namayan and Kaleido. The bill was met with criticism by Kaleido Premier Luis Palay saying that the bill is an attempt of President Caldeo to "break the [fragile peace between Kaleido and Namayan]" and that he is "menacing again and again" with the bill. According to the Constitution of the Rajahnate of Namayan, these bills shall go to the Prime Minister for approval if 20% of the citizens of Namayan approves for the bill within a period of 14 days. Migs Caldeo, President of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku, became the representative of the Republic of Daikoku to the Royal Assembly of Senators - the legislature of the Rajahnate of Namayan - last Sunday.
Along with the signing of the treaty that sealed the unification between Daikoku and Namayan, Migs Caldeo signed a document that contained a pledge to serve as the republic's representative to Namayan's legislature. In accordance to the treaty, the representative of Daikoku to the Royal Assembly of Senators shall have voting powers. The treaty, with the full title of "The Treaty Between the Governments of the Republic of Daikoku and the Rajahnate of Namayan on the Admission of the Republic of Daikoku as an Autonomous Republic of the Rajahnate of Namayan", contains 9 articles and deals with the powers of the Republic of Daikoku as an autonomous republic of the Rajahnate of Namayan and the Rajahnate of Namayan's powers over the Republic of Daikoku. The Daikoku and Namayan governments agreed on the following provisions:
Migs Caldeo, in a statement addressed to the nation, he stated that concluding this treaty is "important in keeping [Daikoku's] national identity and way of life." "We now find ourselves in a new chapter in our nation's history unified with the fraternal people of Namayan," he added. He also expressed his gratitude on the effort made by the Namayan government to conclude the Treaty with the Daikoku government, and vowed that Daikoku would "contribute positively to the growth of the Rajahnate of Namayan and of Philippine micronationalism as a whole" and "return to the nation's former glory" as an autonomous republic of Namayan. The Rajahnate of Namayan is yet to issue an official statement, however, the idea of unification has been received in a positive note with its reigning Rajah Monjer I stating in Namayan's state media that it is "okay with [Namayan] as long as both sides will benefit from each other." Statement of the President of the Supreme Council on signing the treaty on unification with Namayan2/1/2015 Migs Caldeo, President of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku, released a statement on Monday morning on the topic of the signing of a treaty in which the Republic of Daikoku became an autonomous republic of the Rajahnate of Namayan.
"At 21:00 hours on 1 February 2015, I have signed, in behalf of the Republic of Daikoku, the Treaty Between the Governments of the Republic of Daikoku and the Rajahnate of Namayan on the Admission of the Republic of Daikoku as an Autonomous Republic of the Rajahnate of Namayan. "The provisions of this Treaty is now currently in effect and we now find ourselves in a new chapter in our nation's history unified with the fraternal people of Namayan. "As I have stated in my previous statement, we have been living in a crucial situation in our Republic where inactivity plagues our country's stability. This decision to become an autonomous republic under Namayan is important in keeping our national identity and way of life. "With the admission of our Republic into the Namayan nation, I am grateful to the effort given by the Namayan government in concluding this treaty with the Daikoku government. "It is our Republic's pledge in this new chapter of our nation's history that it would contribute positively to the growth of the Rajahnate of Namayan and of Philippine micronationalism as a whole. "It is also our Republic's pledge that, as an autonomous republic of Namayan, we would restore our nation's former glory as we strive to end the inactivity plaguing our nation." Migs Caldeo, President of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku, announced through a statement the plan for the Republic of Daikoku to become an autonomous state under the Rajahnate of Namayan.
For months, unification between Daikoku and Namayan has been expected, however, the sudden decision for Daikoku to become under Namayan administration as an autonomous state came as a surprise for those who supported unification between the two states. In his statement, President Caldeo said that this was a "critical decision for the continuation of the nationhood and way of life of the Republic of Daikoku." With his proposal for making Daikoku an autonomous state under Namayan, President Caldeo also asked for the Namayan government to grant the Daikoku government the responsibility for its internal affairs, the guarantee for the continuation of its system of government, special representation in the Namayan legislature, exemption in Namayan laws that may affect its national identity, and the ability to secede from Namayan. President Caldeo also assured the Namayan government that Namayan would be responsible for Daikoku's foreign affairs and it would be able to exercise sovereignty over Daikoku. President Caldeo also stated that he had accepted the Namayan stance on sovereignty by adopting the term "area of influence" for the territories of Daikoku. The term "territory" shall, however, remain in use for legal documents. In the end of his statement, President Caldeo called for understanding for his decision and asked the people to accept the current situation of the Republic of Daikoku. After President Caldeo released his statement, he informed the Namayan government on his statement and its contents. Migs Caldeo, President of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku, released a statement on Tuesday morning on the topic of the future of the Republic of Daikoku following the declaration of emergency rule last 5 January 2015.
"On 5 January 2015, as President of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku, I declared a state of emergency and introduced changes to the government in light of the possible instability our nation may face due to the continuous decline of activity in our Republic. "Since then, the situation in our Republic has yet to improve and it has forced me to do a critical decision for the continuation of the nationhood and way of life of the Republic of Daikoku. "Therefore, as President of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku and exercising the powers given to me in accordance to Decree No. 14 of 5 January 2015, I have decided that the Republic of Daikoku shall come under the administration of and shall become an integral part of the territory of the Rajahnate of Namayan as an autonomous state. "I would like to ask the Rajahnate of Namayan to grant the Republic of Daikoku the following in relation to its would-be status as an autonomous state: (1) high-degree of autonomy where the Republic of Daikoku would be responsible for its internal affairs, (2) guarantee of the continuation of its government system, including the existing emergency rule, (3) special representation in the legislature of the Rajahnate of Namayan with voting powers, (4) the ability to be exempted from the laws of the Rajahnate of Namayan that may affect the national identity of the Republic of Daikoku, and (5) the ability to secede from the Rajahnate of Namayan if the Republic of Daikoku votes to do so. "In exchange, the Republic of Daikoku is willing to grant the following to the Rajahnate of Namayan: (1) the foreign affairs of the Republic of Daikoku, and (2) the application of sovereignty of the Rajahnate of Namayan on the territories of the Republic of Daikoku in relation to points 4 and 5 in the previous paragraph. "Also, I have decided that the territories of the Republic of Daikoku are to be referred to as "area of influence" in line with the sovereignty statement of the Rajahnate of Namayan. However, the Republic of Daikoku will continue to use "territories" to its territorial claims in legal documents for convenience purposes. "In light of these changes in our Republic, I ask our people to understand these drastic changes in our Republic. We must also learn how to bear the unbearable truth on the seriousness of the situation of our Republic and to accept the decisions that I have made for the purpose of preserving our nation." The Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku notified Republika on Saturday that an important statement is to be released by the President of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku.
Migs Caldeo, President of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku, issued a decree Monday evening placing the Republic of Daikoku under emergency rule.
The decree introduced a state of emergency in the Republic of Daikoku and granted the executive and legislative powers of the Supreme Council to the President of the Supreme Council. An additional emergency order of President Caldeo also called off the election to the Supreme Council scheduled to be held on 17 January.2015. In a statement released on Tuesday morning, President Caldeo said that these measures were in response to "potential instability that the current inactive state of the Republic of Daikoku may cause to the well-being of the nation and its people." President Caldeo assured the country that the emergency rule is not for the purpose of curbing democracy in the nation, saying that it is there "for our nation to remain united and to encourage activity in the Republic." It is expected that the emergency rule would lead to long-term results for Daikoku and may result to even further changes in its government. |
