The Constitutional Commission of the Republic of Daikoku convened on Monday to begin work on drafting a new Constitution for the Republic of Daikoku.
Migs Caldeo, President of the Republic of Daikoku, presided over the work of the Constitutional Commission. The first agenda of the Constitutional Commission was to draft a preamble for the Constitution and to discuss on the aims and policies of the Republic of Daikoku. The work of the Constitutional Commission shall conclude on 17 December 2014, with a referendum to approve the new Constitution being scheduled on 17 January 2015. The Republic of Daikoku voted to approve a law that introduced changes to the territory of the country on Wednesday.
The new law resulted in the Republic of Daikoku giving up its claim on 21 square kilometers of territory. The whole communes of Kitashirakawa and Nishizumi were ceded, as well as some areas of the communes of Kirino and Kushieda, and the special communes of Kawashiro and Seidaikei. The new law also resulted to 2.4 square kilometers of land being added to the Republic of Daikoku. The new land became parts of the new communes of Fujimiya and Kotori. The new law set the new total land area of the Republic of Daikoku at 40.3 sq. km. The administrative divisions of the Republic of Daikoku were also changed following the approval of the law. The Republic of Daikoku now has 3 cities (Kitakyo, Nakatani and Seidaikei), 1 special commune (Kawashiro) and 5 communes (Fujimiya, Kirino, Kotori, Nishizumi and Shiba). The new law went into effect on Friday. The Republic of Daikoku has made public its intention of seeking unification with the Rajahnate of Namayan in a federation.
The intention of Daikoku to unify with Namayan was first mentioned in Article 6 of the interim constitution decreed by President Migs Caldeo last Monday saying that Daikoku "shall seek to unify with [Namayan] in a federal form of government based on the principle of mutual cooperation and development." President Caldeo, in a statement, said that the unification between Daikoku and Namayan "is also the only way to guarantee cooperation, development and peace for Philippine micronationalism." He also said that unification would end "[the competition] to become the leading nation in the region" through mutual growth and development. He added that it "would also end unnecessary conflicts in the region" through checks and balances between the two states and the guarantee that the interests of the two states would be met through peaceful and legal means. Talks for unification have reportedly begun between Daikoku and Namayan, with meetings between the two governments scheduled for late November. President Caldeo believes that unification might be achieved by January of next year. Meanwhile, there has been mixed reactions in Namayan with some favoring unification, while others rejecting it due to the fear of dragging Namayan into the cold relations between Daikoku and Kaleido. Migs Caldeo, President of the Republic of Daikoku, issued a statement on Sunday on the topic of seeking unification between the Republic of Daikoku and the Rajahnate of Namayan.
"Last 3 November, the Republic of Daikoku announced through its interim constitution that it seeks for unification with the Rajahnate of Namayan in a federation on the basis of mutual cooperation and development. "I personally believe that unification is the only way forward for Daikoku, for Namayan and for Philippine micronationalism. It allows for Daikoku and Namayan to pursue a brighter future through mutual cooperation and development, and regular exchanges between the two nations. It is also the only way to guarantee cooperation, development and peace for Philippine micronationalism. "This would mean that growth and development in the Philippine region would be felt equally by these two nations and it would bring an end for competing to become the leading nation in the region. This would also end unnecessary conflicts in the region through a system of checks and balances between the two nations, and it guarantees that the interests of the two nations are met in a peaceful and legal manner. "I am confident that the governments of the Republic of Daikoku and the Rajahnate of Namayan would reach an agreement on unifying into a federation and that these two nations would succeed in changing the face of Philippine micronationalism, despite the difficult challenges that lie ahead." The Republic of Daikoku and the Grand Principality of Pavlov signed a treaty on mutual recognition and diplomatic relations Sunday.
President Migs Caldeo of the Republic of Daikoku and Grand Prince Deniz Grosny of the Grand Principality of Pavlov signed the treaty for their respective governments. The Republic of Daikoku and the Grand Principality of Pavlov agreed to the establishment of diplomatic relations, the recognition of both governments and cooperation between Daikoku and Pavlov. The Republic of Daikoku also recognized the Grand Principality of Pavlov as the "Fourth Rome" - the successor to the Roman Empires. The Grand Principality of Pavlov is a micronation that has an absolute monarchy that is heavily inspired by Medieval Rus and the Grand Duchy of Moscow, with territorial claims in Antarctica. Migs Caldeo, President of the Republic of Daikoku, made an address on Friday night on the current situation in the Republic of Daikoku.
"Citizens of the Republic of Daikoku, "We woke up last Monday to find ourselves in a now completely different nation. Our Daikoku Federation no longer exists and the fraternal Treisian people voted to dissolve their nation. These came as a shock to our nation and people as never did we imagine that our Federation would come to a grinding halt. "I, too, was at shock and disbelief when it had become apparent that the Daikoku Federation needed to be dissolved. However, I respect the decision that we at the Federal Presidency, the Federal Assembly and the Treisian people had reached since it was in the best interest of the nation and the people. "I extend my deepest gratitude to the former King Karlos of Treisia and his people for their cooperation and effort in developing the Daikoku Federation. "Dear citizens, "We now find ourselves in a new chapter in the history of our nation and people. What remains of our once great Federation have rallied and united in a new nation, the nation that we now call as the Republic of Daikoku. "I now call every Daikoku citizen to create a new future for our new nation and to strive for a prosperous and victorious nation. "We should turn our sadness and worries at the fate of our Federation into strength to reach the aspirations of our Republic in this new chapter in nation building. "We should also learn from our past experiences in the course of building our Federation and use the lessons that we have learned to fully utilize the new opportunities opened by our Republic in order to build a stronger Daikoku nation. "Dear citizens, "I believe that we shall overcome the challenges posed by these sudden events in our nation, and that we shall achieve great victories that would forever shine in the history of our nation. "I wish all the best for this Republic and its great people." |
