Migs Caldeo, President of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku, released a statement on Tuesday morning on the topic of the future of the Republic of Daikoku following the declaration of emergency rule last 5 January 2015.
"On 5 January 2015, as President of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku, I declared a state of emergency and introduced changes to the government in light of the possible instability our nation may face due to the continuous decline of activity in our Republic. "Since then, the situation in our Republic has yet to improve and it has forced me to do a critical decision for the continuation of the nationhood and way of life of the Republic of Daikoku. "Therefore, as President of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Daikoku and exercising the powers given to me in accordance to Decree No. 14 of 5 January 2015, I have decided that the Republic of Daikoku shall come under the administration of and shall become an integral part of the territory of the Rajahnate of Namayan as an autonomous state. "I would like to ask the Rajahnate of Namayan to grant the Republic of Daikoku the following in relation to its would-be status as an autonomous state: (1) high-degree of autonomy where the Republic of Daikoku would be responsible for its internal affairs, (2) guarantee of the continuation of its government system, including the existing emergency rule, (3) special representation in the legislature of the Rajahnate of Namayan with voting powers, (4) the ability to be exempted from the laws of the Rajahnate of Namayan that may affect the national identity of the Republic of Daikoku, and (5) the ability to secede from the Rajahnate of Namayan if the Republic of Daikoku votes to do so. "In exchange, the Republic of Daikoku is willing to grant the following to the Rajahnate of Namayan: (1) the foreign affairs of the Republic of Daikoku, and (2) the application of sovereignty of the Rajahnate of Namayan on the territories of the Republic of Daikoku in relation to points 4 and 5 in the previous paragraph. "Also, I have decided that the territories of the Republic of Daikoku are to be referred to as "area of influence" in line with the sovereignty statement of the Rajahnate of Namayan. However, the Republic of Daikoku will continue to use "territories" to its territorial claims in legal documents for convenience purposes. "In light of these changes in our Republic, I ask our people to understand these drastic changes in our Republic. We must also learn how to bear the unbearable truth on the seriousness of the situation of our Republic and to accept the decisions that I have made for the purpose of preserving our nation."
