Kurbam authorities have declared a state of emergency on Tuesday evening following the recent actions of the Independent State of Kaleido in the Micronational Association of Southeast Asia. Prince Romanus I of Kurbam-Namayan said in a statement that the decree on the state of emergency is a response to "potential threats Kurbam is facing on all sides as it decided to directly oppose the situation wherein Kaleido is the only one with veto power in the Micronational Association of Southeast Asia.” The decree stated that the state of emergency applies in Kurbam, including former Namayan city of Lequia which is now Namayan province. The government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku did not recognize the state of emergency in Namayan province, and has contacted Kurbam authorities regarding the declaration of the state of emergency. According to reports, the Independent State of Kaleido is currently under heavy criticism from Arkapore, a micronation located in Indonesia, as the latter's application to join the Micronational Association of Southeast Asia was vetoed by Kaleido and Tondo - a micronation located in the Philippines.

The government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku issued an ultimatum to the Kurbam secessionist movement on Wednesday through a statement issued by Migs Caldeo, President of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku, in response to the on-going situation in Kurbam area in the province of Iligan. The statement said that the Daikoku government had no choice but to issue an ultimatum to the Kurbam secessionist movement as the latter "continues to ignore the calls made by the government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku to resolve the situation in Kurbam." In its ultimatum, the government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku demanded that the Kurbam secessionist movement to make contact with the Daikoku government in order to discuss the situation in Kurbam. The ultimatum also demanded that the Kurbam secessionist movement should cease communications with the Independent State of Kaleido, which had issued support to the secessionist movement. The government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku gave the Kurbam secessionist movement until 23:59 hours on 23 September to respond to the ultimatum and threatened that relevant countermeasures will be taken to "isolate them and to hinder their plans for 'recognition' and 'existence,'" and to respond to any confrontations that would be the result of the Kurbam secessionist movement's refusal to respond to the ultimatum. The National Defense Commission of the Independent State of Kaleido issued a statement on Tuesday on the recent events that has happened in the Democratic Republic of Daikoku.
The statement said that Kaleido expressed "despair" at the dissolution of the Namayan government, and expressed support for the "aspirations of former Namayan citizens who established a new micronation" that is continuing "Namayan's vision and principles." The statement hinted that Kaleido had announced its support to the "Principality of Kurbam" secessionist movement, which was confirmed when the movement issued a reply to the statement by stating that the Kurbam secessionist movement "welcomes" the statement issued by Kaleido. The Kurbam secessionist movement also stated that it is working to be "recognized as the true continuation of the Rajahnate of Namayan in the south" and that it hopes that its "existence" would be known through the Micronational Association of Southeast Asia, a micronational organization where Kaleido is a permanent member. The statement of the National Defense Commission of the Independent State of Kaleido was denounced an "unjustified hostile act" by the government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku in a statement issued by Migs Caldeo, President of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku, on Tuesday, adding that the statement promoted "division and violence" within Daikoku and interfered with the efforts of the Daikoku government to resolve the situation in Kurbam. The statement of President Caldeo also said that the statement goes against the former relations between Namayan and Kaleido, which is being upheld by the current Daikoku government through its status as the legitimate successor government to Namayan. The statement of President Caldeo concluded with the Democratic Republic of Daikoku calling on Kaleido to refrain from interfering with the internal affairs of Daikoku, especially in relation with the situation in Kurbam, and warned that any hostile acts from Kaleido directed against Daikoku would "only lead to confrontation and instability within the Philippine micronational community."
