Statement of the President of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku on Kaleido's recent actions10/5/2016 Recently, Arkapore issued a protest against the Independent State of Kaleido following the rejection of Arkapore's application for membership in the Micronational Association of Southeast Asia by the Independent State of Kaleido and the Rajahnate of Tondo, which is another micronation located in the Philippines. According to a statement released by the Kaleido government on Tuesday, it said that the rejection of Arkapore's application as a member of the Micronational Association of Southeast Asia is due to the "pro-Daikoku sympathies" of the Arkapore government, adding that the Arkapore's membership in the organization would be "a tool of Daikoku to spread its evil desires." The same statement called Daikoku as a "terrorist troll organization" and claimed that it is "menacing the peaceful co-existence of micronations in Southeast Asia." The government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku condemns this statement of the Kaleido government as full of baseless accusations aimed at provoking our government and is a futile attempt of Kaleido to achieve hegemony over the micronations in Southeast Asia. It should be noted that the Democratic Republic of Daikoku has no interest with the Micronational Association in Southeast Asia nor is it acting against the same micronational organization through the membership of another micronation in the organization. Also, it is the principle of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku to seek for peaceful and productive relations with micronations in Southeast Asia, including with Kaleido despite Daikoku having tensions with it. While Kaleido may dismiss our government's position as a bunch of lies, this has been supported by Arkapore in a statement issued by their government saying that the Micronational Association of Southeast Asia is becoming an organization that only promotes Kaleido's interests and that Kaleido "always caused uproar with surrounding micronations without any specific reason", which is a view accepted by micronations in Indonesia. This statement from the Kaleido government just adds to the growing list of hostile acts that they have committed against the government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku. With this latest provocation from the Kaleido government, the government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku calls on Kaleido again to refrain from committing provocative actions not only on our government but against the whole micronational community in Southeast Asia. The government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku seeks peace. However, if Kaleido continues to challenge our government with more provocations, we would have no choice but to respond with relevant countermeasures. Nakatani 5 October 2016

Kurbam authorities have declared a state of emergency on Tuesday evening following the recent actions of the Independent State of Kaleido in the Micronational Association of Southeast Asia. Prince Romanus I of Kurbam-Namayan said in a statement that the decree on the state of emergency is a response to "potential threats Kurbam is facing on all sides as it decided to directly oppose the situation wherein Kaleido is the only one with veto power in the Micronational Association of Southeast Asia.” The decree stated that the state of emergency applies in Kurbam, including former Namayan city of Lequia which is now Namayan province. The government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku did not recognize the state of emergency in Namayan province, and has contacted Kurbam authorities regarding the declaration of the state of emergency. According to reports, the Independent State of Kaleido is currently under heavy criticism from Arkapore, a micronation located in Indonesia, as the latter's application to join the Micronational Association of Southeast Asia was vetoed by Kaleido and Tondo - a micronation located in the Philippines. On 22 September 2016, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Independent State of Kaleido issued a statement which recognized the Kurbam secessionist movement as the "sole and legitimate successor of the Rajahnate of Namayan." The same statement also said that Kaleido would help Kurbam "fulfill their aspirations and the continuation of Namayan's principles and vision." The government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku condemns this latest statement from Kaleido as another hostile act against Daikoku as it continues to promote division and violence within our country, especially as the Daikoku government and Kurbam is working to peacefully resolve the current situation in Kurbam. The government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku calls on Kaleido to refrain from making further statements on the current situation in Kurbam that is aimed to further promote division and violence in Daikoku, and warns that Daikoku will not hesitate to place counter-measures if Kaleido continues their hostile policy against our country. 26 September 2016 Nakatani (Nakatani, 25 September 2016, Daikoku News Service)

The government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku issued an ultimatum to the Kurbam secessionist movement on Wednesday through a statement issued by Migs Caldeo, President of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku, in response to the on-going situation in Kurbam area in the province of Iligan. The statement said that the Daikoku government had no choice but to issue an ultimatum to the Kurbam secessionist movement as the latter "continues to ignore the calls made by the government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku to resolve the situation in Kurbam." In its ultimatum, the government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku demanded that the Kurbam secessionist movement to make contact with the Daikoku government in order to discuss the situation in Kurbam. The ultimatum also demanded that the Kurbam secessionist movement should cease communications with the Independent State of Kaleido, which had issued support to the secessionist movement. The government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku gave the Kurbam secessionist movement until 23:59 hours on 23 September to respond to the ultimatum and threatened that relevant countermeasures will be taken to "isolate them and to hinder their plans for 'recognition' and 'existence,'" and to respond to any confrontations that would be the result of the Kurbam secessionist movement's refusal to respond to the ultimatum. The National Defense Commission of the Independent State of Kaleido issued a statement on Tuesday on the recent events that has happened in the Democratic Republic of Daikoku.
The statement said that Kaleido expressed "despair" at the dissolution of the Namayan government, and expressed support for the "aspirations of former Namayan citizens who established a new micronation" that is continuing "Namayan's vision and principles." The statement hinted that Kaleido had announced its support to the "Principality of Kurbam" secessionist movement, which was confirmed when the movement issued a reply to the statement by stating that the Kurbam secessionist movement "welcomes" the statement issued by Kaleido. The Kurbam secessionist movement also stated that it is working to be "recognized as the true continuation of the Rajahnate of Namayan in the south" and that it hopes that its "existence" would be known through the Micronational Association of Southeast Asia, a micronational organization where Kaleido is a permanent member. The statement of the National Defense Commission of the Independent State of Kaleido was denounced an "unjustified hostile act" by the government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku in a statement issued by Migs Caldeo, President of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku, on Tuesday, adding that the statement promoted "division and violence" within Daikoku and interfered with the efforts of the Daikoku government to resolve the situation in Kurbam. The statement of President Caldeo also said that the statement goes against the former relations between Namayan and Kaleido, which is being upheld by the current Daikoku government through its status as the legitimate successor government to Namayan. The statement of President Caldeo concluded with the Democratic Republic of Daikoku calling on Kaleido to refrain from interfering with the internal affairs of Daikoku, especially in relation with the situation in Kurbam, and warned that any hostile acts from Kaleido directed against Daikoku would "only lead to confrontation and instability within the Philippine micronational community." The Kurbam secessionist movement continues to assert itself as the so-called "direct continuation of the Rajahnate of Namayan" by continuing their act of not recognizing the legitimate authority of the government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku, which only incites violence and division within our country shared by the Daikoku and Namayan peoples, including those involved in the Kurbam secessionist movement. As the Kurbam secessionist movement continues to ignore the calls made by the government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku to resolve the situation in Kurbam in accordance to the desire of all the people in our country, our government has no choice but to issue an ultimatum to the Kurbam secessionist movement. The government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku demands that the Kurbam secessionist movement contact our government to have a discussion on the current situation prevailing in Kurbam and to find ways on resolving it. The government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku also demands that the Kurbam secessionist movement cease their communications with the Independent State of Kaleido in order to create an atmosphere of resolving the current situation prevailing in Kurbam only through the efforts of relevant parties and without the interference of foreign states. If these demands are not met by 23:59 hours on 23 September 2016, the Democratic Republic of Daikoku has no choice but to launch the necessary countermeasures against the Kurbam secessionist movement in order to isolate them and to hinder their plans for "recognition" and "existence," and to reduce the effect of any confrontation that would be the result of their refusal to accept our reasonable terms in resolving the current situation prevailing in Kurbam. 21 September 2016 Nakatani On 20 September, the National Defense Commission of the Independent State of Kaleido issued a statement announcing their support for the "aspirations of former Namayan citizens who established a new micronation that will uphold Namayan's vision and principles." It is without doubt that this statement from Kaleido was intended to show support for the secessionist movement in Kurbam area that styles itself as the "Principality of Kurbam," despite not mentioning the movement in name. The intention of Kaleido was confirmed as a representative for the secessionist movement issued a reply stating that they welcome Kaleido's support in their bid to become "the true continuation of the Rajahnate of Namayan" as an entity separated from the government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku, the legitimate successor government to the Rajahnate of Namayan. The Democratic Republic of Daikoku condemns the statement made by the National Defense Commission of the Independent State of Kaleido as an unjustified hostile act against our government as it promotes division and violence within our country through their support of the secessionist movement in Kurbam, and it interferes with the efforts of our government to resolve the emergency within our country in relation to the situation in Kurbam. The statement from Kaleido also goes against the diplomatic relations that the Independent State of Kaleido had with the former Rajahnate of Namayan, which is still being upheld by the government of the Democratic Republic of Daikoku through its status as the legitimate successor government of the Rajahnate of Namayan. The Democratic Republic of Daikoku calls on the Independent State of Kaleido to refrain from interfering with the internal affairs of our country, especially in relation to supporting the illegitimate secessionist movement in Kurbam, as continuous hostile acts from Kaleido against our country would only lead to confrontation and instability within the Philippine micronational community. 20 September 2016 Nakatani |
