The Federal Election Commission reported that 100% of the voters approved the new Constitution of the Daikoku Federation in a referendum held on 1 and 6 September. The Constitution of the Daikoku Federation, which was approved on 9 August by the Third Federal Assembly, went into effect on 6 September following its unanimous approval by the voters in the Daikoku Federation.
The Presidency of the Daikoku Federation issued a decree on the same day in order to implement the provisions of the new Constitution. The Constitution of the Daikoku Federation of 9 August 2014 replaced the Constitution of the Daikoku Federation approved on 11 April of this year. Since the new Constitution went into effect, the Presidency began to exercise its powers as the Federal Presidency. The government of Premier TJ Feliciano also continued to function under the new powers of the Federal Government. The Feliciano government shall continue to work until the first session of the new Federal Assembly on 7 October. Meanwhile, the Federal Assembly dissolved on the same day to make way for new parliamentary elections scheduled on 1 October. The Federal Presidency is currently exercising the powers of the Federal Assembly. The Federal Election Commission reported that 88.57% of the voters turned out to cast their ballot in the referendum. It also reported that no problems were encountered in the referendum except for the postponement of the referendum in Urbonia, which were held on 6 September.
