23 July 2015 (NAKATANI, Daikoku) - The National Council voted on Tuesday to approve a new act on citizenship of the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku.
The National Council Act No. 2 or the Act on the Citizenship of the Democratic People's Republic of Daikoku lists down the conditions in order to be recognized as a Daikoku citizen, the conditions for acquiring Daikoku citizenship at birth, the conditions for applying for Daikoku citizenship through naturalization and the conditions for losing Daikoku citizenship. The Act also states that all Daikoku citizens regardless of their place of residence are eligible for assistance from the Daikoku government, as well as from the Rajahnate of Namayan since Daikoku citizens are also recognized as Namayan citizens. It also allows Daikoku citizen to keep their macronational nationalities and to have multiple citizenships. The Act gives power to the National Council to decide on all issues related to Daikoku citizenship. In accordance to the National Council Act No. 2, Migs Caldeo, President of the National Council, issued Decree No. 1 on Thursday which recognized three people as Daikoku based on the conditions of the Act.
