The Republic of Daikoku voted to approve a law that introduced changes to the territory of the country on Wednesday.
The new law resulted in the Republic of Daikoku giving up its claim on 21 square kilometers of territory. The whole communes of Kitashirakawa and Nishizumi were ceded, as well as some areas of the communes of Kirino and Kushieda, and the special communes of Kawashiro and Seidaikei. The new law also resulted to 2.4 square kilometers of land being added to the Republic of Daikoku. The new land became parts of the new communes of Fujimiya and Kotori. The new law set the new total land area of the Republic of Daikoku at 40.3 sq. km. The administrative divisions of the Republic of Daikoku were also changed following the approval of the law. The Republic of Daikoku now has 3 cities (Kitakyo, Nakatani and Seidaikei), 1 special commune (Kawashiro) and 5 communes (Fujimiya, Kirino, Kotori, Nishizumi and Shiba). The new law went into effect on Friday.
