NAKATANI, Urbonia (DFNS) - Candidate registration for next year's presidential election in the Democratic People's Republic of Urbonia ended on Friday noon with Co-President Migs Caldeo of the Daikoku People's Front - People's Party of Urbonia being the only registered candidate.
This marks the second time that the Daikoku People's Front is running unopposed in an election, and also the second time where Co-President Caldeo is running unopposed in a presidential election.
Campaigning for the election is set to begin on December, with the election being held on January 17 next year.
CENTRAL DISTRICT, Seidaikei (DFNS) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Daikoku Federation has disclosed on Friday the aid sent to the Republic of the Philippines following the aftermath of the Super Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda), which hit the country on November 8.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the Daikoku Federation has sent financial aid through non-government organizations in the Republic of the Philippines, with a contingent of the Federal Defense Force assisting in the repacking of donations in coordination with a Citizenship Advancement Training-I unit of the Republic of the Philippines in Central District, Seidaikei.
NAKATANI, Urbonia (DFNS) - A joint decision of the Daikoku People's Front and the People's Party of Urbonia on Sunday nominated Co-President Migs Caldeo as candidate for President of the Democratic People's Republic of Urbonia.
The nomination marks Co-President Caldeo's third bid for office, being elected to the office in June 2012 and again in January 2013, as well as a bid for his fourth term in office, being president of Urbonia since May 2012.
The Presidency of the Daikoku Federation has issued a decreed which recognizes the candidacy of Co-President Migs Caldeo as President of the Democratic People's Republic of Urbonia.
NAKATANI, Urbonia (DFNS) - The Presidency of the Daikoku Federation issued a decree Sunday morning which sets the date for the election of the President of the Democratic People's Republic of Urbonia next year.
According to the decree, the election is set to be held on January 17, 2014 from 07:00 until 17:00.
The decree also stated that candidate registration will start today, Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 12:00 until Friday, November 28, 2013 at 12:00.
CENTRAL DISTRICT, Seidaikei (DFNS) - Marius Reyes, Premier of the Daikoku Federation, was elected General Secretary of the People's Party of Treisia in a meeting held by the local socialist movement of the Daikoku People's Front on Tuesday.
He was also elected to the Central Committee of the Daikoku People's Front, and to the positions of Head of Legislative Work and Head of Discipline Work.
CENTRAL DISTRICT, Seidaikei (DFNS) - A treaty on diplomatic relations was signed between the governments of the Daikoku Federation and the Grand Duchy of Flandrensis on November 9.
The treaty was signed by Co-President Migs Caldeo for the Daikoku Federation, and by Grand Duke Niels I for the Flandrensisian Commonwealth.
CENTRAL DISTRICT, Seidaikei (DFNS) - The Presidency of the Daikoku Federation published a new map of the country following the passing of Federal Law 07-2013 "On the territories of the Daikoku Federation".
The new map shows the territorial changes agreed upon by the "Territory on the Resolution of the Territorial Dispute" signed between the Daikoku Federation and the State of Ariana, as well as changes in the districts of the Democratic People's Republic of Urbonia.
CENTRAL DISTRICT, Seidaikei (DFNS) - New lyrics for the "Song of Great Daikoku", the national anthem of the Daikoku Federation, were adopted on Saturday evening through a decree by the Presidency of the Daikoku Federation.

CENTRAL DISTRICT, Seidaikei - The 2nd Federal Assembly held its second session on Friday in the Central District, Seidaikei in vote on several proposed bills.

RYOKOU SPACE CENTER (DFNS) - Scientists and technicians of the Daikoku Federation has successfully launched experimental satellite DFS-4 TESTAMENT on carrier rocket Unmei-3 on Saturday afternoon, the Daikoku Federation News Service reported
Unmei-3 carrier rocket with payload experimental satellite DFS-4 TESTAMENT was launched on November 9, 2013, 13:22:30 hours from the Ryokou Space Center by scientists and technicians of the 2nd South Urbonian Guards Regiment of the Federal Defense Force.
Unmei-3 carrier rocket, a two-stage and 83,200 kg. rocket was launched towards an heading of 180 degrees in order to insert its payload into its preset orbit.
The first stage and the payload fairing of the rocket separated at four minutes and 30 seconds after launch and crashed into the sea 300 km. south of the Ryokou Space Center, with the second stage inserting the payload into its initial orbit of 200 km x 200 km 10 minutes and 30 seconds later after a coast to apogee, burn and engine shutdown.
The second stage re-ignited again 11 minutes after launch in order to insert DFS-4 TESTAMENT to its commissioning orbit.
The payload entered its commissioning orbit at 13:24:10 hours, 11 minutes and 40 seconds after launch. The payload separated from the second stage one minute and twenty seconds later and began spacecraft commissioning.
DFS-4 TESTAMENT is now orbiting the Earth at a polar orbit with an apogee of 1,500 km. and perigee of 100.3 km., an orbital period of one hour, 11 minutes and 57 seconds and inclination of 89.6 degrees at a speed of 2.6 kilometer per second.
The mission name, DFS-4 TESTAMENT, means Test of Existing Satellite Technology and Mission for Experiments for New Technology.
The satellite is fitted with instruments which makes communications and research possible. It is currently transmitting the anthem of the federation "Song of Great Daikoku", readings on the current status of the satellite, and images of the Earth. It had also performed maneuvers using its reaction control systems to aim its imaging systems.
The government of the Daikoku Federation hailed the launch as "another success for the scientific endeavor of our Federation in space" and it shall serve as the "grounds for further scientific missions for the understanding of space."
